In vitro study | SKF38393 (50-100 μm) induced long-lasting synaptic potentiation in a protein synthesis-dependent manner. In rat prefrontal cortex neurons in vitro, SKF 38393 mimic the effects of DA on I(NaP) and modulate persistent sodium currents. In the auditory cortex, SKF38393 affects long-term memory formation and consolidation by activating downstream effector adenylate cyclase and phospholipase C- significant proteomic alterations. |
In vivo study | SKF38393(6 mg/kg, I. p.) prevented scopolamine-induced memory impairment in the T-maze test. In adult male NMRI mice, SKF38393 (1 μg/mouse) impairs fear learning. |
